1. Amnesia The Dark Descent is a fantastic game, a very realistic atmosphere which makes you feel the chill inside your bones.
2. Half Life 2 yeah, I know this game doesnt sound scary at all, or it wasnt scary for some, but I remember playing it years ago, and it was simply wonderfull. Try to feel like you are in the game.
3. Penumbra (series) One of the most heck of scary game series I've ever played.
4. Metro 2033 although its an action game, it contains some very powerfull moments which you will pound your head to get through.

Well being freaking really afraid of anything paranormal or even slightly demonic, I go out of my way to avoid scary games and movies. So probably the scariest moment ever in a game for me was during Minecraft. You know... those moments when you are digging underground and here stuff but you are not sure where the noise is coming from, and all of a sudden you come face to face with a zombie.

Minecraft would be sick as hell if it had jumpscares. The sound system is nice, but you can't really get scared by a moving blockhead, can ya?
