Did you knew that you can die from a overdose of water?
And I'm not talking about drowning, I'm talking about drinking water till you die.
Does this means that the person is addicted to water? NO.
It means there is a malfunction in the thalamus.

What does this has to do with weed?
Do you really think these "homeless people" use that "begging" money on weed? or that they got to that situation (being homeless) because of weed?
or in this context weed is not a drug?
Could be a problem of semantics (kant) by saying
alcohol and drugs so just buy saying that means that alcohol is not a drug. isn't alcohol a gate way to cocaine? isn't alcoholism a very well known decease?
I don't know if you've been or seen places/situations drug related. But alcohol drinkers tend to do cocaine more often that you think. On the other hand weed smokers are
not usually related to cocaine. why? because the effect of these drugs are the opposite: relaxation - speed up.
Aren't alcohol and cocaine much more
expensive and addictive drugs(counting alcohol as a drug) than weed?
(don't forget that all that I've said its about the homeless/drug relation)
So what is more common to see:
a) homeless person smoking a joint or
b) drinking alcohol and smoking crack?
what does crack has to do here? (every thing drug/homeless relation)
Supposition of a very real scenario:
A random guy starts drinking alcohol, he try's cocaine, lets say he likes it (wakes him up from the numbness of alcohol, makes his feel much more stronger etc) in time he keeps repetition and gets addicted. These drugs by being more adictive and expensive than weed, demand much more consumption and money, so you know where this is going... The guy runs out of money, starts selling all the stuff in the house. Now the guy doesn't has the money to keep doing cocaine since is that expensive so he needs a substitute that costs less money. And guess what is the common substitute for cocaine...
Crack! Eventually cant pay the rent and ta-da! = homeless.
Now to the point: A marijuana smoker (stoner) can't complete that homeless/drug process (yes there could be similarities) but can't complete it.
why? Because weed is not as addictive and because weed makes you fucking hungry! If the stoner runs out of money he wont go crazy trying to get weed, because his body needs food. It doesn't need a "drug" that makes him hungry.
A matter of survival. Also you have to know that other drugs such as cocaine, crack and others make the hunger disappear.
To make it simple a homeless person would never waste his money on weed xD
Ok so what does all this homeless/drug crap talk has to do with weed being legalized?
Well when you are talking about legalizing a drug, you have to consider every aspect related, such as political, economical and social. Homeless people are part of society.
