The Grey, Never Back Down, War of the Worlds, and The Dictator are pretty good.

I watched Ink last night, since it's usually highly recommended. I didn't like it - too artsy and it's not very engaging.

I watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang a few weeks ago (that movie with RDJ, when he cleaned himself up). It was fucking incredible. Great acting, great screenplay etc.. Y'all should watch it.

How about Resident Evil one? The new one..

Brazil, cyberpunk plumber goes rogue and starts fixing things of his own volition and gets hunted down by government/corporate agents because he ignores the vast amount of red tape involved. Its actually an awesome film.

Chronicles of Riddick and pitch black get slated a lot as well, but i dont understand why, both are really good examples of of some gritty sci-fi.
The 3rd film is finally being made, hoping for some more space Conan with this one.
