I for one, think it's great. Coloring the ball but not the person is showing a use of symbolism, whether intentional or not.

I made a rough drawing of the main antagonist for the anime series i'm working on.
Not much shading or any major details...just a rough outlook.

Still don't have a name for him or the majority of my characters though.

Im not into the anime\manga stuff so i cant comment but i think that looks pretty good!

Also a new facebook cover.
Its over-edited and took 2 hours and 10 min to make!
Idk about you guys but i think it looks awesome.

Because colouring the guy would ruin it, I wanted him to have a dark out-tune.

And a grey ball would look silly and dull, for an already grey-shaded drawing.

Nice, nice. The chin seems a bit.. pointy, and his right arm is a tad bit short, even for that POV. But the sphere he's holding looks sick.

You're off to a good start, and I'm impressed on how well you did the Anime style mouth. Most people mess that up, especially if they're new to drawing Anime.
