Assembly is literally just screwing in a mobo and PSU, then plugging everything in.

Both the GPUs in the machines you linked are entry level - that means very very cheap very very poor performance (you will notice that the 7540 is used in the "poor" build...). Both of those machines are not built for gaming, and will be very inefficient. For example the ENVY 700-000z has 8gb ram and a quad core 3.2ghz and a 1tb 7200rpm drive. The upgrades for GPU are 4gb and 6gb cards! With these stats you are actively griefing yourself.

What is the discount you will be getting? The suggested build in logical increments ($530) has a 650 Ti which is tons better than a 7540. For comparison: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...adeon+HD+7540D http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...rce+GTX+650+Ti
As you can see the 7540 scores a 526 on passmark, where as the 650 Ti scores 2693 - in other words the 650 is about 5x better. On similarly priced builds, how can you even say that the HP prices are competitive?

If you build the computer instead of buying a prebuilt, you can expect a computer 5-10x more powerful and suited to gaming.
I went to a website to buy the parts suggested in the logical increments site and it ran up to 700 dollars for a "good" computer, not even including tax, plus a shipping fee.

Would the ENVY be able to run league of legends, GTA, etc. and other steam games?

Or what about this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/CyberPow...&skuId=9177174

I think you can figure that out yourself :P

"CyberPowerPC - Gamer Ultra Desktop"
The name is a give away, this is not going to be good...
The FX-6300 had some problems if I remember, but the main problem is the GPU http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...Radeon+HD+7750
It's not at all a good GPU. It's even worse than the 560 Ti
The other Envy has the same problem, it has a bare minimum GPU.

If one tier is too expensive, try the tier below it.

If you google the minimum and recommended requirements for a game, then check a benchmarking site you can easily compare your GPU and the recommended one. For CPU just look at clock speed. For RAM 4gb is enough for anything.
