What is your graphic card ?

I installed the latest driver as latenitekid suggested, also 7600 GT.

When I set shaders to "1" in the setup menu, save and exit, then reopen the setup menu, it reverts back to 0. Same thing happens with default.cfg

Also, i suggest you maybe remove some unused programs that are taking up space on your computer (maybe like games you haveen't played in years and never plan to play again, or old antivirus software)
