I hope they fix this. I have been trying to turn off duels, too, but I can't. It's not a bug, I guess the code wasn't implemented in the game.

Just make a new room, it's too much of a hassle, but that's the only solution I've found so far.

Any help with this yet?

It's a bug ingame in general. Doesn't have anything to do with the version you use.
