Can you indicate what is flawed with the mapping,
and perhaps provide feedback as to how to fix it?

It's too vague..
I did, however, notice some things that need
drastic changes (if this is what you mean, ok).
I need to raise the bottom lip and make the
chin bigger, widen the jaw bone, and possibly
have to rework the throat.

Looks okay. But the teeth dude, they're wrong.

I'm not sure you should remake a anatomically incorrect head with the same mistakes.

Why don't you look up "Colossal Titan"...
The head I'm making isn't suppose to be anatomically correct.

Looks really promising so far.

Yeah, I know.. I tried something different when shading it, just
to experiment..

First I shaded in black and white, or grey, like this:

Then I added another layer which contained the colors, this one:

But upon merging them, the colors were too bright, see:

So I added another layer of color and it came out like this:

But I'll probably fix that sometime..Along with the sketchy lines.

the 3rd wip to me shows the detail of the muscles but in the final piece you seem to cover the details
