Anyways, I like a small border, I really hate my picture transitioning onto gray, especially because of the colors. The border is like an army which blocks off the evil grays.

Really? I think they look awful if they're put there for no reason at all.
It's a forum avatar not a damn fashion contest. I prefer characteristic, personal images to all the anime avatars with borders and shit that just tries to look fancy.
Trocher is an exception because his avy looks like a dick and it's adorable.
