my mac mini normally doesnt support shader effects but classic shaders yes.
some screenies:

well one tip: try to activate shaders and deactivate all extras like Ambient Occlusion and crapz.

You can try to open your laptop and stick a card into a slot that doesn't exist but other than that nope.
