borat in my opinion was a very funny move, better than most of the comedy shit that was coming out at the time, upon watching the film lots of times with my x g/f i learned to love it, one part in particular that's real funny, is when they go to the ghetto and learn how to be black.

Yes, I like it because it doesn't focus on expected heroism of adrenaline-pumped soldiers, but rather on hopeless desperation and suffering of children who took no part in igniting the war adults fight.

If you liked it, there is a similar movie called Barefoot Gen, but i like GoF better.
Barefoot Gen is slightly less depressing.
