EDIT: Wanted to point out,
The 1 gb version has a memory bandwidth of 256 bits, the 768 mb version has just 192. I was wondering what made such a significant jump in performance in so many of the games.

I don't like them, and I'm currently using one of their cards, it's sub standard. Go for Gigabyte, Zotac or Asus. Also if you walk 3 days to a week the price will have dropped $10 :P

I never realized that the GDDR5 made such a big difference on the memory speeds.
I'm now considering getting two of these instead of the 5970. $550 vs. 700$ I'm glad that I didn't buy it. Heck I might even wait a bit longer yet to get the next generation.
the 460 1GB is better than the 465, go for the 460, the naming is confusing, but trust me the GPU chip is better, and handles AA better, 460SLI will work better to.
Why compare to the gtx 465? It's a bum card.

This is an important story, all fermi cards are going to get a boost from these new drivers, I wonder if all these benchmarks are with said drivers? well in any case this is good news all around, hopefully this will be an effective boost.

I hope they aren't, so I see 43 fps instead of 40 if I do get a couple of these.
In a lot of the newer games, the sli of the 1gb can compete with the 5970. In the worst cases, it is maybe 80% of the 5970.
I wonder how the difference changes once all of them are overclocked.
In every test, they are better than the 480.
In all but one synthetic test, they were incredibly close to the 5970.
Overall, the 5970 is 10% better for around 200 bucks more.
