and to get cars "incentive" to move... besides a DQ, you could put a invisible really bouncy wall that moves towards them... if your too slow your car gets kicked out of race. in a boomy fashion.

the only problem with making it invisible is that the people that don't know about it will be totally confused

but being considerate, why dont you make it have a red tinge to it, so its opaque. just a little so you know how fast you have to move your ass before it goes boom.
