it doesnt look like he's our typical newcomer artist/texturer, so im inclined to believe its a stylistic choice. id give him the benefit of the doubt for this one i think.
the design is the only downside to me, the flat looks awesome, but it doesnt come across as well on the sphere, the V shape on the sphere often doesnt work, and theres not much else to the design to make up for the V.
