What I find awkward about this situation is that some news channels have people saying that he should be assassinated for this. Which out of personal opinion makes it show that America is just throwing out the "free country" thing so they look different than the rest of other governments, if people believe they should kill for showing what should be public information.

Oh, by the woo, Time had Assange put up as a candidate for "Man of The Year", but for reasons unknown, he suddenly disappeared from the list of alternatives.

No seriously, I chuckled. Assange got 5x the votes of anyone else and still didn't win.

Apparently creating the next myspace is more important than uncovering corruption, war crimes, violation of international treaties, and defending net neutrality and freedom of information.

Well it is a commercial magazine, of course they are going to do what they can to get the most money. More people are interested in Facebook than in Julien Assange.

With this fact involving "freedom of information" i think we shouldn't have to wait to legislative powers to solve it, we should run togheter and fight for a real transparent government...
