You guys need a more organized rule/record list or something for this.

You need to use common sense. Before you post, think, has anyone done this before? Did it turn out alright? Does it make sense? Would it be considered cheating? You just need to use searching and thinking.

I read the stickies, none of which stress realism, so it absolutely makes sense to get as high as I can. I didn't throw a hand or something else small and easy to move, which would be totally out of the spirit of this. How am I to know if anyone's done it before? This is the first I've posted in or paid attention to this board. If there are (universal?) rules like no self dismemberment, it makes good sense to have them listed somewhere.

A lot of the rules are record-specific. In this case, self dismemberment makes you lighter ( because you get rid of some of your body/weight) and therefor you're able to jump higher. So anything that affects the record and differs from the OP's replay will probably not be accepted.
