People keep complaining about it and I get really confused. Why do people get so mad over it? it's just a move for gods sake.

It is a decent move, but you might find that in higher belt games its useless as you're putting yourself in very uncomfortable position.

The problem with rushing is the same as in every other game:
The outcome of the match is decided very early which makes it almost impossible to be a cool fight.

There are no move restrictions in toribash so you can do any move you want.

In my opinion rushing is a tactic which can be useful so if you're dueling or playing in ranked servers or tourneys.
But it's a pretty annoying thing to do in unranked rooms because what most people are looking for in those are fair, fluid and awesome looking fights.
