I uploaded .wav format file and it worked, I think it shouldnt be longer than 3 secs (not sure)

Try making sure it's mono instead of stereo.
That's a common issue with most games, but I'm not sure if it is here. Worth a shot, though. The sample rate should also usually be 44100 Hz.

Use www.media.io to convert your file to wav because it also adds the riff-wav header I think. And I'd keep the length to around 3 seconds to make sure it works fine.
