I have all of the hardware I need to run toribash. but whenever I start the game. it immediately crashes. steam says I'm "in-game" and that the game's running, task manager says "Toribash - Steam" is running, Toribash in my steam library says "Toribash - Running" for a few seconds. and then steam says "Toribash - Syncing" and then everything stops telling me that toribash is running.

What is going on?

Have you tried verifying the local files?

Right click on the game in steam, click properties, in the local files tab select "verify integrity of game cache".
