This isn't anything complicated to code or whatever, it just isn't needed.
Our forum isn't a social media platform. We aren't expected to just have one account.
Registration on the forums already asks for an email address, which is good enough if taken seriously.

Well its about time I close this bad boy.

The most important purpose of email verification (for our community, anyway) is to make password recovery possible. You have no idea how many times someone forgets their password, has no email account associated with it, and there's not much we can do about it without having to do some work.

If you want to go full retard and use a fake email account, by all means, go right ahead, but you're going to get very little help if you ever get hacked or lose your password. Seriously, how is email verification difficult at all?
