Classical is much, MUCH better than modern by the way. It's much more musical and meaningful.

I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.
I like modern rock better. Not that classical is bad, I've just moved on too heavier stuff. (not like ax7 or metalica or shit like that though ;P)
i have a totally post modern tattoo of a scalene triangle.
<DeadorK> fair maiden
<DeadorK> if the cum is going to be in your mouth
<DeadorK> it shall be in mine as well
^Same i like modern rock better. But classical is not bad too. Some times i like classical more then modern.
Who can forget classics like... Highway To Hell, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hotel California, The Sultans Of Swing, Sweet Home Alabama, Jailhouse Rock.

Now, name some songs from the past 10 years you will always remember.

That's my point.

That's a little unfair. I'm by no means standing up for that corporate garbage that makes up most modern music, but perhaps the great songs you mentioned were once thought to eventually be forgotten... We have yet to see how songs from the last ten years will stand the test of time. Anyway, here are a few that I think may.

Pearl Jam - Last Kiss (cover) - 1999
U2 - Beautiful Day - 2000
Eminem - Stan - 2000
Green Day - Holiday - 2004
" - Boulevard of Broken Dreams - 2004
" - Jesus Of Suburbia / City Of The Damned / I Don't Care / Dearly Beloved / Tales Of Another Broken Home - 2004
Beck - Lost Cause - 2003
Bruce Springsteen - My City of Ruin - 2002
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside - 2000
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy - 2006
Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer - Redemption Song (cover) - 2003
Evanescence - My Immortal - 2003

Just a few thoughts.
You're right, my argument had numerous flaws. <.<

*runs in shame*

Anyways, the title is a bit misleading.
It should be "Old Rock vs. New Rock".
When I came in here, I was thinking about CLASSICAL music.

You made a point. ;)
What defines classical? AC/DC is modern because they continue to make music up to this day, but then again, you could say they're classic rock.

Are we going by timezones? Genres? Anything?
