So apparently there's this genre called "noise". I don't know very much about it but my brother likes it. Do any of you listen to it?

Yes, I would like to hear a sample... I think I might have heard the genre before... Can't remember who showed it to me though. Someone around here... It was garbage, literally just noise, to my knowledge.

And actually listened to it.
White Zombie's early years were Noise Rock.
And it was horrible.
So, according to that, I don't like Noise.
It sounds painful.

Most noise has no rhythm section. Noise essentially abandons all conventions of traditional music, opting for BRRRRRZZRRRRRZRRRRRT and PEW PEW PEW at random intervals for 20 minutes a track.
Essentially, all the appeal of noise is simply that it "transcends" music by essentially being the antithesis of music. It's art for the sake of art, without analogy or influence from what sounds aesthetically pleasing.
Try arguing that a Jackson Pollock has more artistic merit than a Rembrandt.
