[GM] The Haunted Gauntlet
This twisted wretched place shadowed by the utmost darks of hell
in dreams of black beyond the bounds of a withered witch's spell
blood flows down the streets at night where wolves cry out for flesh
where a horrible curse taints the woodlands nearby with the forms of the walking dead
the undead are among us at dawn they shrink back to their silken beds
they dance by night and drink the blood of a child's broken neck
the rivers flow with poison the sands swallow you whole
the ghouls that roam this darkened wood are thirsting for your throat
The Halloween draws near and the undead grow restless! O mighty heroes and adventurers, are you brave enough to fight the dead who blight our lands? Can you defeat the legions of spooky skeletons, armies of ravenous zombies and the wretched council of vampire counts?
The event is divided into four stages. Each stage of the event is a group of monsters, represented by JtanK, Powas and Scorpio. Your victory will be dependent on your ability to defeat the creatures. Prizes will be awarded to top undead slayers.
Stage 1 - Approaching the cursed grounds (Preliminary)
At declared hour hotseat rooms will be held and the players that come will fight possessed gamemasters. First 24 mortals to defeat them at least once will be deemed worthy of this quest and proceed to the next stage. The rest will be left for dead. There will be three hotseat rooms hosted at different times, each allowing up to 8 wins on it. If there won't be 8 winners on a hotseat, it will be re-hosted at some other date allowing the remaining slots to be filled.After winning on hotseat, you must apply in this thread, providing the replay of fight for the record. Those who win but do not apply will be considered unwilling to take up the quest.
Stage 2 - The Bone Pile
The mortals who have advanced to this stage will fight skeletons. They will fight on a hgruins.tbm- one fight per GM. Defeat means death. Defeating all three skeletons allows participants to enter Stage 3.
Players should contact JtanK, Powas and Scorpio to set up their fights. The most certain way of setting up those fights is via coming to #events IRC and asking them to play. You can also PM them and try to set up a suitable date.
Stage 3 - The Graveyard
Stage 4 - The Unholy Villa
If a champion dares to slay the vampire council, he will be forever remembered a hero and will enter secret stage.
let's be honest though, it's a suicide mission.
Souls of those who use black magick and alt accounts will be forfeit (banned).
Earning more wins in preliminary round doesn't give you anything.
After round 1, a single defeat equals death of your character, you cannot fight anymore then.
If online, the undead GMs (JtanK, Powas, Scorpio) can be found in #events
Unless winners are determined earlier, the event will end on the day of Halloween.
Rules are subject to change if it can improve the event.
Every participant will receive an amount of
equal to 50% of undead slain in Stages 2-4 (rounded down).Every participant that reaches the Unholy Villa stage will receive a secret prize.
The greatest undead-slayer will receive
.There is but one prize like this and in case of similiar scores tie-breakers will be organized.
