My ping is always around 80. I really only have problems when trying to hold a corner with an AWP.

I usually manage to stay between 40 and 50, but there's a noticeable improvement when I play on Hungarian servers (~10 ping). I played on a US pub dm yesterday for giggles and my k/d went down the shitter.
