PC upgrade (invades are welcome)
well it looks like my ssd is dead after all, tried a last format yesterday,
now i get errors during the installation so im pretty sure its dead.
Currently installed windows at my hdd and god its slow xD

So,how about we do some market search? xD

currently my 1st choice is samsung evo 850 at 120 gb,62 euro.

edit: some specs that i remember:

motherboard gigabyte fxa 990 ud3
ram 8 gb corsair vengeance
gpu xfx r9 270x (got it last year)
psu corsair tx650
processor amd phenom 2 x4 965 3.4ghz
the ssd was ocz vertex 2

mx100 and bx100 are a bit more expensive here than samsung evo
and their stats indicate they are slower too.
Is there anything special about them?
In my personal experience they are MUCH more reliable than Samsung SSDs. I've had four 850s break on me before finally saying fuck it and buying an mx100. Not a single issue thus far.
i read that the pro line of samsung weren't very good but that the evo line is a lot better,do you remember what version you had?
I have an evo840 120 gb and I haven't had any problems. I trust the 850 is GG.
If I were to upgrade my SSD id go for the 850.

Before I buy tho I'd do some research, the 250 GB version (if I remember correctly) has some hardware differences that make it faster than the 120 GB version.

Maybe go for the M.2 version if you have the slot on your MB.

wishful eyes deceive me
well, because im going to buy it from a partner of ours at work (for better price xP) i don't have the option of the m.2 but i think the speed difference between the 2 is not that much.

What i do care though is the quality of the disk,i don't feel like
going through the same shit again xD

Yeah, then just go for the 850 your colleague can sell you. I also don't think its noticeably slower than the 250 gb one.

As for the disc itself I don't think they are made like crap in general, like for anything people use there is a better chance people with bad experience will leave a review.

For instance my speaker system was fried 5 months after I bought it, I was like what is this shit, I got a replacement (the same model) and I am using them for 8 years without any problems.

Some do make more quality crap then others but its usually more expensive and most likely not worth it coz the way tech is advancing you will want to replace it with a better model before it comes to its average lifetime.
wishful eyes deceive me
exactly, basically what we are looking for is a quality value for money
solution, something that will last on an already old pc (by pc standards)

will go for the 850 evo 120 gb after all,its still a great upgrade from
ocz vertex 2 37gb capacity (lol)
