Help for: Can't log in/"Error: Failed writing receiveddata to disk/application"
Recently many standalone version users have been having the same issue when trying to play. It doesn't allow to connect to multiplayer, and when trying to log in, the error message "Error: Failed writing receiveddata to disk/application" appears.

So far the only confirmed solution to this is downloading Toribash on Steam.

Some also reported, that unticking "read only" option in Toribash folder properties works too. You can attempt that by right clicking your toribash folder (not icon, but the directory folder), then going to properties, and removing check mark next to "Read only" option.

If you got any questions or problems with this particular issue, please make a post here, don't make a separate thread about it.

First off you want to make sure your fire wall is not blocking the game, after you are sure that is not the problem this is what you do:

Open your internet browser and enter the link displayed in the crash window which was this for me -

Download that and save it and then copy/paste it into the game directory. Once that is done you might still get a game crash when the game says "connecting"

If this is the case go into the games directory and delete the client.exe file and then rename the file client.tmp to client.exe

This should fix the problem. Also if you are on windows seven and cant get to the games directory just right click on the game shortcut go to properties and click "open file location."

Hope this helps.

If this method does not work try downloading the Steam Error Repair Tool
