I've recently started making flames, and would like to know if there is a way to preview to flames at the same time without having to forge either of them.

Currently not without opening toribash multiple times, as far as I'm aware.

Is it possible to write it into an item.dat and just make a new custom folder to preview the flame?

I don't know, I'll test it if I get the time and edit this post with details, hopefuly someone else will know, however.

You should technicaly be able to write the item.dat to do that, however I don't know how the item.dat works, try it anyway as it can't hurt :P
