1. Open it up in a wave editor, save it as an 8 bit file. This will make it 8 bit, but not sound like the Nes
2. Open a midi file up in a midi tracker (example: FLS) and apply the sounds to the tracks from there

^do you mean you can transform a song (waves) into quantitized midi sequences
and than you can even apply different midi-instruments to the song? common really?

No you have to do that yourself or just download a midi someone else did.
