before buying an item, is there any way to try it on your tori?
(if the item isnt in the torishop ingame)

Nope, you can try to dl/lp people that own it.

you can download the item, copy it to your toribash folder, then use the command to load it.

Something like /obj 1 1 nerd_glasses.obj

I forget the actual command so look it up.

Anyone know those commands? :/

That thread was made before 3d items were even a thing, hence it doesn't say anything about them.

You could search for a user with the 3d item activated, and switch his head with yours in your custom folder.
