roccat, razer, bloody shit.
yeah.
made a thread in rapid threads, then realized it was in the wrong section.

my keyboard has basiclly crashed. my mouse is quite buggy.
I'm 97% from buyin' a razer utlimate 2013 elite and a razer taipan.

Anyone got any better ideas how cheap, good and illuminatied keyboards and mouse's?

Wow, GAMER perhiperals, they cost more because they're better.
I bet you buy your shit based on how shiny it is.

Anyway, I recommend (any) Filco or Ducky keyboard and a Logitech G400 for a mouse.
You can also get a HHKB but you probably wouldn't make any good use of it.

Fuck illuminated keyboards. Just get something with some good cherry switches in it, it's better to have something responsive than some fancy crap. Remember that illuminated ones tend to have the cheaper cherry switches or even worse - membranes.

If you want to see your keyboard then get a USB light for it.

As for the mouse, can't really go wrong with Razer. Just make sure it's got the button layout you want.

Alps, Topre and buckling springs are all nice.

I'd still rather stick to my Cherry MX blues, though.

I personally prefer Cooler Master's mouses. I have Sentinel which is still going strong after five years of abuse, LAN parties and getting crushed to death with my computer case...

I'd go with Ducky's mechanical keyboards. I'm stuck with my old one untill I *manage* to break it... :P

To add on to what Dargon said about the Cooler Master mouses, Cooler Master's CM Storm Quickfire Rapid keyboard is pretty great, along with most of their mouses. It has Cherry MX Blue switches and it's only around $70+ on most online stores.

Another great brand for around the same price as that Razer crap are the Das Keyboards.

For mouses, Razer isn't bad, but I'd rather a Logitech mouse, such as the G400 or G500. Cooler Master mouses are also nice, like Dargon said.


Also, I've never really had any experience with Ducky/Filco keyboards but I heard they're pretty nice.

Logitech is gay... I've had only logitech mouse's in like 6 years.
Never heard of ducky and das stuff. I can't find it in swedish shops.

And yes, I care about looks too.

Alps, Topre or buckling springs for cheap/gaming? Gl with that. Model-M yes, but gl getting topre or alps.

CM QF rapid is best in this range by far.
