Why?
Much lighter than vista series, supports Directx 11 and its the Safest windows operating system yet.

There cannot be a "best" OS. It's what personal need you must have. For example, For gaming. It would be a Windows. For media and graphics, It would be the Mac. I cannot supply any info on the Linux due to the fact that I've never seen or touched one.
