Yea so I can't really think of any songs that I want to learn at the moment and any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I'm fairly shit at guitar but I'm game to try to learn anything as long as it is in either standard or drop D tuning(I really cbf tuning all the time), also I don't like songs which are non-stop strumming or have bar chords in them.

You have to learn to play bar chords sooner or later, so you should practise songs with them in it. Learn 'If It Be Your Will' by Leonard Cohen.

I'm teaching myself how to play the guitar through sheets I gather online and youtube videos.
I found it very helpful to practice Pigs on the wing (parts 1 and 2) - Pink Floyd.

Mother by Pink Floyd is also a pretty good choice. They're not hard at all, and I found them really worth the practice.
