Mediator:
~~~~~~~~~~~
Run the provided "Mediator" tool, press "Add" in the ReShade Setup Category
and browse to your targeted game's executable file. The setup then tries to
detect which API the game uses for rendering. It then suggests the API for you
to install the required binaries. There might be cases in which the suggestion
is not correct or where auto-detection failed. If so, choose the correct API
from the list yourself. Confirm the installation and let the Mediator create a
link to your ReShade files and install the selected binary in your target
application folder. Thats it, you created a new application profile and
installed the ReShade binaries!
Next time your run the game, you should see the ReShade greeting popping up.
If that is not the case, try to do a manual installation.
Note that the Mediator is just provided for convenience and in no way
required to get ReShade fully working. A manual installation will do the same
good.
Manually:
~~~~~~~~~

Figure whether the game is 32bit or 64bit and copy either ReShade32.dll or
ReShade64.dll to the directory the game executable is in:

Figure out which API the game uses for rendering, or any of the following DLL
names the game loads and rename the DLL you just copied to that:
- Direct3D8 => d3d8.dll
- Direct3D9[Ex] => d3d9.dll
- Direct3D10.X => dxgi.dll
- Direct3D11.X => dxgi.dll
- OpenGL => opengl32.dll (for 64bit too)

pretty sure any help you need is in the readme.

have you considered that it doesn't work for toribash then
it doesn't work for league of legends

opengl32.dll should be the file you inject it into.

it's just dumb.

and why would you want depth of field or ambient occlusion on LoL

and that opengl32 is the "injected" thingy. i did exactly what i did for cod 4 and toribash is being dumb.

Wow, the edginess here is real. Kinda makes me not want to help you, but I will anyway. Tone it down next time.

I just tested it, it works fine for me. I'm gonna run through the install again just in case you did something incorrectly.

First, you're gonna download ReShade. Obvious, I know, but I'm covering all the bases here. Extract the contents to someplace you can access. Run the Mediator. You'll see this.

Click on the "Add" button near the lower left corner.

Navigate to the folder shown in the Explorer address bar (if you're using Steam on 64-bit Windows, which is just what I assume). Select toribash.exe, not toribashSP.exe. I'm not sure what the second one is for, but who cares because it's not the one that launches.

Great, now we see "toribash" the box adjacent to the "Add" button. Cool.

So, my knowledge of how to actually use the program is limited here, but for example I did the following just to prove that it works: Under Pipeline, I selected "ASCII" because I figured it'd be the most obvious to show that it's working.

And would you look at that. It looks terrible and I probably wouldn't want to play using this effect, but it works.
