Playing Torchlight 2 is one of the most refreshing gaming experiences I've had in a long time. It's everything I wanted but didn't get from Diablo III, gameplay-wise. Loot and upgrades remain relevant throughout the game, and the combat is snappy, responsive, and really fun.

If you're going to try it out, I highly recommend playing on Veteran difficulty, second from highest. It keeps the game challenging and fun, without becoming too much of a cakewalk/grindfest.

Once you're minmaxing your embermage and blowing through bosses with your full uniques gemmed for insane dps like they're pieces of wet tissue, you should try out the last difficulty setting, which is very challenging, but possible. i.e., not post-act-II inferno.

Anyway, I've been enjoying the shit out of this game, just thought I'd post about it since I didn't see anyone talking about it.
