Try /dl coolmanLOL and /lp 0 coolmanLOL ingame to make your previous sound change to your new one.

For the first thing you said I don't quite understand you, is there an anoying noise staying after the hit sound or something?

If you are sAying the music is too loud:

Go into options and slide the effects and music bar all the way down to stop the sounds.
