I am a noob too. I think the best tip i have got is that always aim at the head and always keep your crosshair roughly at the head level. Has greatly contributed in improving my aim.

I am also gold nova 1 and i am playing this game for like 9 months and i have a total of 197 competitive matches won and still nova 1. My max was nova 2 but if you want to learn good play with good players. If you have friends who are master guardian 2 or higher play with them and learn from them. I know a lot of things and tactics, i know enough how a distinguished master guardian know but still nova 1.
