So i got myself a xbox controller for my pc, have been borrowing a friends wired version for a while, my one is the wireless version, and i cant quite get it to work.

software's all installed and up to date, tried downloading and using the one on the disk.
the reciever/dongle appears in the devices page etc.

but the green light on the controller keeps flashing like its not connected to anything, resynced the reciever and controller a few times, still the same problem.

done all the troubleshooting things from the xbox support page, but nothing seems to fix my problem.

any ideas?
