What is this called
You know when you have a Netbook or Laptop in order to get internet you need to search for an access point and connect to it. Well I want my own type of Access point and put a Password for it. What is this called So I can go buy it over the weekend

Its called a Wireless Router (aka WiFi Router)...
If you have a cable modem or adsl modem you need a Wireless Router with a WAN port which is an external source port so you can plug your modem to it and protect your Local Network.
