Onlive-The Future of Gaming It self

What Is This Onlive You Say?
The OnLive® Game Service is a groundbreaking on-demand video game platform that delivers the latest and most advanced games instantly over a broadband connection. You can play on your TV via the OnLive Game System or on nearly any PC or Mac® via a small browser download. You can also turn your tablet or smartphone into a mobile console and play top-tier games everywhere! The OnLive Game Service creates an entirely new way to play, watch, share and demo premium games from the world's leading publishers.

The service is available using the OnLive Game System, PCs running Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7), Intel-based Macs with OS X 10.5.8 or later, Android devices and iOS devices.[5] Since the games are rendered on OnLive's servers, a low-end computer may be used to play any kind of game as long as it is able to play a video. For that reason, the service is being seen as a competitor for the console market. All games on the service are available in 720p format. OnLive recommends an Internet connection of 5 Mbit/s or faster, and a 2 Mbit/s connection meets the minimum system requirements.
Over 50 publishers, such as Take-Two, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Atari, Codemasters, THQ, Warner Bros., Kalypso Media, 2D Boy, Eidos Interactive, Disney Interactive Studios, and others have partnered with OnLive.
Over 200 games are available on the service, a full list of which is available at list of OnLive games.

How Does this Work?

Why even Choose this if I have a xbox or ps3 etc?

See Many problems today is that people of our generation can't afford High end computers Or The epic sensation of perfect Internet connection, and this is where Onlive comes in. From Personal experience :Onlive Gives you a taste of Different systems with out worrying about the long wait of Pc downloads, Xbox live prices/,and Ps3 internet.Onlive's minimum requirement for internet speed is 2 Mbps wire per second on WiFi.So Basically if you can watch a Youtube video ,Onlive can support you. This is why Ipads ,all Samsung galaxy series/Evo/Htc phones and Iphones can Work With Onlive. You can literally Play Saints row The Third and Assassin's Creed Revelations on your Iphone or tablet.
On a PC or Mac:
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Internet Connection: 2 Mbps wired or Wi-Fi connection
Operating System: Windows 7 or Vista (32 or 64-bit) or XP (32-bit), Mac® OS X 10.5.8 or later
Computer: Most PCs and netbooks, all Intel-based Macs
Screen Resolution: 1024x576
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Internet Connection: 5 Mbps wired or Wi-Fi connection
Operating System: Windows® 7 or Vista (32 or 64-bit) or XP (32-bit), Mac® OS X 10.6 or later
Computer: Dual-core PCs, all Intel-based Macs
Screen Resolution: 1280x720
Almost all OnLive users have had good results if their system meets the above requirements, but many factors affect network quality and performance, including other applications using computer resources and other users sharing your network.

SUMMARY
Onlive Is the future of Gaming/platforms.It may not surpass Xbox360 or Ps3 at this moment ,but it has already beaten them to specific points that it took Microsoft and Sony years to get to.I believe most people should try it out, lol besides its free what harm could it cause? My younger brother told me that it even works in his high school.Imagine being in an internet blocked base (school, office, boring class is college) playing homefront and Mw3 ,Halo,Bf3 on the computer without downloading or worrying about problems with the pc.My friends , it only takes 8 minutes to work with Onlive. 1 or 2 minutes for sign up (2 if your a slow typer)2 for it to load ,2 for you take a look at a awesome game you like,1 minutes for the game to load faster than a Xbox360 or Ps3 game and a simutaneously free trial(for those who just feel like playing all the games ,but not buying the playpack with over 100 unlimited games for 9 bucks .Besides that everything is free ,Voice chat, epic Multiplayer, the pursuit of no trollers(everyone is having so much fun the have no time to troll),and absolutely No hacking(it's impossible to hack Onlive actually. In the time it takes to read this, you could be gaming already.... (do not spam this thread)

So yeah, i like onlive, i really do.
If you don't have a good enough computer, just go for it, you can actually try ALL games before you decide to buy them wich is rather amazing,

but for the competetive guys this might not be an optimal solution, streetfighter IV and Unreal turmanent for example, well, the small delay you actually have to expect can be annoying enough to rip your hair of.

But out for some casual gaming, or just don't have a good enough computer, well go for it.

Tried out Just Cause 2 and the Batman AC demo, was DECENTLY responsive but if you have a computer that can play the actual games it's obviously better. Nice for my 5 year old laptop I'm currently on, though. (:

Couldn't have said it better my self, although they have changed alot more now, and the features are pretty cool.My professor was making everyone write tons of notes, that I had already done in the lab so I just pulled out my tablet and started playing Assassin's creed revelations. That easy. You basically have to face that you cannot take a xbox360 or ps3 around with you. There just home based.

I love just cause 2 and and arkham series, and very true ,but the good part is it's not only based on pc and tv anymore it's expanded to mobile. Where xbox and ps3 haven't really made it successful in.

Meh the games aren't really shitty. Compared to Other things I've seen online these games are gold. Homefront and homefront 2 is like mw and bf together and Split second has always been my game of drifting and blowing up building like a boss. See the problem is alot of people don't know about it and the ones who did didn't take it seriously, but Now is the time for Onlive to get some credit and promotion.
