Gormengast is not exactly my favourite, but its one that will stand out for me as one of the most interesting books ive ever read. The writing style effortlessly brings all the weird and wonderful characters and settings to life, but the thing it does best is create atmosphere. Ancient, unchanging, oppressive, strange, convoluted and tense come to mind if i were to try and describe it. Something else worthy of note is that the author lost his mind while writing it, so it gets... stranger as time goes by.

Good book, go read it.
Naomi Novik's Temeraire series. Just love fantasies.
I honestly can't come up with a clever signature.
