I have made one head texture, but certainly need some tips. If any of you have some good tips with making heads, I could sure use your help! Thanks in advance!

All I can say is practice. Look at other artists' work, get ideas from those, and see if you can reproduce a style. Then, develop your own style.
If you need software, I'd have to suggest Gimp.

I know one way how to pain more easy head textures, you should at the optional head that look a litle bit invisible and you can see the right sizes and where all things start and ends.

Use the head texture template as a guide.

If you know what I mean.

Watch youtube videos on gimp,there are plenty of tutorials there.

you can use GIMp, PSH, paint, sai paint tool or etc.
