Hi, I have Norton Antivirus installed on my laptop (Centrino duo and 2Gb RAM) and I noticed that when i installed it my laptop got really slow, takes ages to do anything. Is the Norton what is causing this? Should I get rid of it and get another antivirus? Which one?

nortons is a pretty big hog, plus they send your datas to africa :OO


also, you could try avast, its pretty lightweight, from what i've experienced, and it has pretty good protection.

also this might be a bigger problem, if uninstalling nortons doesn't work, you may have to do something else ;o

nortons not very reliable so if you have other programs your better off using them.
it can also be quite hard to remove. Good Luck

I had this too, but with McAfee.

I simply re-installed it and boom, no more slow computing.

What does he said,avast is great powerful and lightweight antivirus.
