I searched and didn't find a specific Yngwie thread, so here it is.

Who here is a fan? I only just discovered this guy (and his band, obviously) and I fell in love with his music X3

I wish in that video he would stop fooling around with the guitar though, who's bright idea was "I'LL PUT THIS GUITAR ON THIS SHELF"? But yeah, he made a nice save from that broken string.

Yeah, he's good, but any guitarist who actually puts emotion into their music is that much better.

I find him very obnoxious and annoying. He just shreds, he has no flow in his songs. There's a basic beat that he goes off. That's not music. :l

^ What kitfox said. Sure hes a great guitarist, but his music is meh. The only thing I REALLY like about him is his guitar, the scalloped style of the fretboard is nice and comfortable, I've been meaning to get one, but I just use my uncles.

I think the only thing he could live on is his shredding skills. Pretty much nothing more than that unless you like some of his songs.

Sure, he's talented technically, but his playing is so soulless that its painful to watch. His horrible cover of purple haze was the final nail in the coffin.
