Not so long ago, a poor mortal was a pathetic fighter. In the lands of his aggressive people, everyone looked down at him, laughing and yelling out insults as he passed.
Throughout his entire life, from his childhood to mid-adulthood, this man carried the burden of his lack of skill, and the misfortune and hate that came from others due to it. As his life went on, the man went from unending sulking to unending hatred and rage, and his own anger consumed his soul.

With rage as his fuel, the man trained his mind to endure the worst of suffering, the deepest of depression. He trained to become a living embodiment of Death, granting himself immortality and the ability to attain the revenge he desired more than life itself. This training slowly ebbed away at his soul, forced ideas into his mind, and taught him the meaning of true insanity.

With insanity as his fuel, the man fought through the ranks of his sworn enemy: Humanity. No sword or arrow could defeat him. He ravaged his land's villages, destroyed and devoured the souls of his own kind.

It was the ultimate revenge, and it was his sole desire.

After slicing a hole into mankind itself, the man decided to form a group. He searched for people like him: People who went through endless suffering throughout their lives. People who's minds had been ravaged by the idea of revenge. People who knew the true meaning of insanity.

People who weren't afraid to walk alongside Death himself.
