i just realized where the word "tori" in "toribash" comes from
if someone is demonstrating a technique, the person that has the technique done on them is the uke, and the person that does the technique is the tori.
FYI: uke is pronounced u-kay, not uk. ive shown like 5 people toribash, and they all pronounce it that way.
