I was thinking if u can make heads why cant u have a coustume

Costumes would definitely give the characters more character.

It would require a lot of work to get this thing working properly though. >_<

Ok then pro should get fancy colors and mind blowing desigins
while noobs get three bland colors and one or two basic designs

In case like this i'd suggest a nice competetive point system where you get points for wins to buy stuffs like accessories and whatnot ^^ of course it'd be quite a bit of work, but...
