Except those modes have been around since the start of the game, back when the mod database wasn't choke full of similar mods.

Umm, and? What does that have to do with anything? The world is full of similar car models and they are still making more.

Those mods were made for official servers, and events and such. They have relativly advanced gamerule settings, and it much more convient for the population at large, since these mods are played often.

On the other hand, this mod is likely not to be played very often. It probably will never be played again after ~2 weeks. Also, its pretty simple, just to set the gamerules yourself.

Imo, this isn't even much of a mod. Its not necessary even if people played it.
