I have 140 something in both Leatherwork and Weaponsmith on my Lvl 36 Hooman.
Might try the Engineer too, though, I hear great things about them.

make both :3. both are awesome classes which make alot of fun (specially the necro in PvP.) but just test them out, play until lvl 10-15 or a few rounds PvP. and choose which made more fun. (thats how i made it.)
but greatsword mesmer rocks!

Hmm, my Ranger already uses the Greatsword.
I thought about making a Twin Sword Warrior and a Minion Master Necro after playing the Mesmer a bit.
I thought the Mesmer had skills that can summon an illusionary copy of yourself that sticks around, much like a spectral pet but that's unfortunately not the case.
I'll just get my Ranger to lvl 80 first.
