And after 3.0 when we got used to the massive amount of new players it was still alright but we couldn't hang out anymore in a public server without a ton of noobs rushing in and crashing the party.

I wish I could have joined way back then. There are alot of people and the mods can be grumpy because it seems everyone who wasn't old school is a noob. I guess i should stop being a dick, and make it more enjoyable for the old schoolers.
