I hate to disagree with you, Queg, but I think I have to in this case. As far as I can see, there are only three servers. While that's probably an increase from the 2.0 days, saying that the costs are to cover the server charges is a little skeptical. Even so, from what I've seen, Nabi Studios only uses money to improve. I'd pay another $20 to see a new game come out.

Hi,
well to many Ads ingame and i quite for sure !
On Floor ? Shit !
But a good Idea would be to place Addbanners like in Soccerarenas, that would be a compromise and would maybe increase the atmosphere ingame too, if its not getting to much.

As far as I'm concerned, this doesn't have to be a bad thing...

Sure, people say it's for advertisements. However, that doesn't mean you can't buy it yourself and make it say "Chozo haz a poopy faec" all over the floor.

Besides, this feature has just become available, there's nothing saying that it's not going to change at all in the coming weeks.

Advertisement on the forums, I couldn't care less.

Advertising in-game and it might be ruined in my honest opinion.
Of course, you can rent an advertising space and put up whatever you want in there, but I bet most servers' advertisement places won't be rent by players. Most servers will probably be advertising things that will possibly gain profit from advertising.

It wouldn't bother me that much if it was alongside with the menus or something outside the in-game fightings themselves, afterall the game is free and of course Nabi has to get money, but on the floor of the fights themselves doesn't seems as the best place to insert advertisement into in my opinion. It'll possibly screw some blood splatters, but the main factor, it'll be plain ugly in most cases to see a advertisement stamped into the shiny ground of the fights. I just hope it's not something enormous, nor something that messes up the reflections and blood splatters.

That's my opinion for now. And it'll probably only change after the in-game advertising comes into play.

let's put it this way: I paid for this game. $100. What would people do who pay $15 per month for Wow if they saw advertising in WoW?

I'm actually very interested in how they will put pictures on the floor. I would very much like to know how it works. But seeing how it works would make it so i could put whatever i want in. Which would be 'stealing' money. But still...If it works in multiplayer...I could work with single player.

Grass textures anyone?

Millions of people play that game, and they all pay a fee. Out of the 30k people here around 1-4k people payed for the game with a one time $10 fee. Also Blizzard is a giant company.
